There is definitely charm to an intimate wedding with only immediate family in my parent's backyard. It seems such an occasion would befit a slightly sweet, refreshingly retro gown like the one shown.

As I start hearing all the details that need a bride's attention (mainly from my sisters in law), I am starting to feel the charm of running away to Vegas. We're an older couple (not old, but I'm not exactly 22), and both of us have big families. You get into "if you invite Aunt Jane, you have to invite her 3 kids, and 2 of them are married...." So our little family affair is quickly exploding into something much larger. I haven't ruled it out...not sure what he'd think of it though :)

Hello, my dear PV friends! I'm finally back into the swing of life at home after a looooooong business trip. Phew - so glad that's over! :) Here is the first of a series I'm going to do trying to get my rear in gear for wedding planning. Jackson suggested I figure out what type of theme/colors/etc. I'd like before setting a date and being stuck with a season that clashes with that ideal. Sooo....I turn to Polyvore! Just a note to say hello to everyone. I'm out of town on business this week and next, then back home. Still no wedding plans to update - hope to start that when I get back home, too. Haven't even set a date! :P
